STORM vs THE DECAPITATORS

It's Diamond and Thunder circling each other for the start, with the trench-coated Tex loudly cheering his man from ringside. Thunder feints, Diamond twitches and then tries a move of his own, a snap kick--CAUGHT. Leg drag sends Diamond to the ground. Thunder's full of pep, and catches Diamond with a quick leg drop. Thunder picks Diamond up, whips him into the ropes, a SUPERKICK--DUCKED! by the rather miniscule Diamond. Diamond hits the opposite ropes, Thunder's turned around, DROPKICK! Thunder's dropped to the mat, and Diamond does an abbreviated Seated Senton on his prone foe. HOLD ON! Thunder's wrapped his arms around Diamond's neck! Had him scouted, looks like a sleeper hold... NO! Illegal choke! The ref counts four on it, but Thunder just stopped Diamond's momentum DEAD. Diamond's gasping for air on the mat, and Thunder tags in his partner--OH DEAR, it's Tempest vs. Diamond.

Tempest scoops up Diamond and holds him to his chest--FALLAWAY SLAM! Right into Storm's corner! And now Thunder's choking out Diamond THERE! Decapitator Axe runs out of his corner, but the referee catches him and starts arguing him back to his corner--MEANWHILE, Tempest is laying the boots to a choking Diamond, with Old Man Tex cackling away. Axe knows enough to cool down to save his partner, so he stomps back to the tag rope, and the ref gives his attention back to Storm, screaming at them to break up the double-team. Thunder relinquishes his chokehold, and Tempest drags a limp Diamond out to the center of the ring. Tempest scoops the Decapitator up, and appropriately enough, SCOOP SLAM! From such height! THAT woke Diamond up in a hurry! Tempest smirks evilly, and picks Diamond up, hoisting him over his head... picture-perfect GORILLA PRESS from the big man, holding Diamond high like a trophy, turning around so that Axe and the crowd can see Diamond getting manhandled--WHAT THE? DIAMOND! With his hand--he's hooked into Tempest's nose, pulling back in an improvised Claw! Tempest starts to stagger a bit, and that's all the little man needs--he slips out BEHIND Tempest, and hooks the head on the way down--INVERTED DDT! He just felled the BIG man, but for HOW LONG? Diamond's woozy, scrambling to find his feet, Axe is stomping the ring apron, DESPERATE for a tag! Tempest SLOWLY sits up, and Diamond rushes for the corner--YES! NO!!! Tex pulls Axe off the ring apron, and the tag is never made! Tempest catches up to Diamond, wheels him around, grabs the neck--CHOKESLAM! Goes for the cover--but where's the ref? He's OUTSIDE, trying to break up Axe and Tex! He must have wanted to eject Tex for blatant cheating, but a pissed-off Axe might get the chance first--he LUNGES for the surprisingly spry Tex, but just rips off a chunk of trenchcoat. Tex FREAKS and heads for the hills, Thunder screaming at Tex, Tempest screaming at the ref! The ref slides back in the ring and counts thie pin--ONE! TWO! TWOOOO!!! Diamond's been give enough of a breather to store up a kick-out. Tempest IS SO MAD HE COULD SPIT, and stands Diamond up so that he can whip him--HARD--into Storm's corner. Thunder has Diamond by the arms, holding him in place... AND HERE'S TEMPEST LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN! Wait! Diamond sits out--between Tempest's legs--TEMPEST SMACKS THUNDER KER-POW OFF OF THE APRON! And into the guard-rail! Tempest is in HORROR at the sight of his partner laying crumpled on the ground at ringside, then turns around to see Diamond on all fours, dogging it to his partner Axe--TAG IS MADE!

Axe barrels into the ring, having had to wait THIS long to get a piece of Storm, and drills the bigger Tempest with a Lariat! Tempest bounces off the mat but gets up again--LARIAT from Axe! Tempest is up once again, but Axe gets some momentum off the ropes, leaves his feet--CLOTHESLINE! NOW Axe is A HOUSE! ON! FIRE! Tempest looks out on the mat, and Axe ROARS! He points to his partner Diamond--Diamond knows what to do! Diamond's up on the corner turnbuckle, And Axe goes to pick Tempest up--TEMPEST'S GOT AXE BY THE THROAT! And now Tempest's standing--CHOKESLAM! Chokeslammed Axe out of his boots! But DIAMOND'S IN THE AIR! OVERCASTLE! OVERCASTLE takes Tempest out! And Diamond rolls Axe on top of Tempest before scooting it out of the ring, it's a cover--ONE! TWO! TWOOO!!! Tempest is getting UP, Axe is getting UP, both men very slowly... Axe JUMPS to his feet! Off the ropes--GUILLOTINE EFFECT on Tempest! That Scissors Kick drops Tempest limp. Goes for the cover, ONE! TWO-OOOO!!! Tempest can soak up a lot of damage! Axe signals Diamond again, Diamond climbs the turnbuckle, Axe hoists Tempest into position! DECAPITATION! Tempest hits the mat like a sack of oats! Axe goes for the cover--THUNDER'S UP! ONE! TWO! THUNDER SLIDES IN, THREE! Thunder was ONE second behind saving his partner and the ref awards the victory to the Decapitators! Thunder looks like he wants to start something with Axe--OH NO! Axe hoists Thunder up, Diamond just came off another turnbuckle--DECAPITATION! Both members of Storm on the ground, with The Decapitators celebrating their win in the ring before hitting ringside for free beer from the fans.

-Sounds of Sicily! it's The Godfather Waltz...and here comes Don Travelli to the ring with a scowl on his face. "So that no-gooda strunz IMMORTAL decided not to show-a up tonight! I promise-a you, Immortal, you will pay for that insult! I come here to wrestle, so I have an open-a challenge to anybody in the back to come out here right-a now and face off with Don Travelli!" Some smart aleck in the crowd starts a chant of "We-Want-Pesci!". Travelli stalks the ring, looking out, but it doesn't seem that anybody is going to accept the Don's challenge... until "BAD BOYS!" comes on the PA! And "BAD BOY" JOEY MALONE storms to the ring!

DON TRAVELLI vs "BAD BOY" JOEY MALONE

Joey slides in the ring only to be immediately stomped down by Travelli! The kid sure has spunk, but his mouth is bigger than his brain sometimes. Travelli sends Joey to the ropes and blasts him with a clothesline! Joey springs up immediately... so Travelli rebounds off the ropes and hits another big clothesline. Joey begs off, trying to buy some time, and uses the EYE GOUGE. Travelli blocks the eye gouge and delivers one of his own. With Joey blinded, Travelli rakes the back... And then just for good measure, he drops to his knees and hits Joey's bad boys with a low blow! The men in the crowd wince in unison. Travelli makes a cover, one, two, oh my gosh! Joey got a shoulder up! Travelli looks as surprised as the audience. A handful of hair hauls Joey up, and the Don grabs cups Joey's face in his hands and delivers a kiss, right on the lips. The crowd GASPS in horror, for that kiss... was the infamous Kiss of Death! Joey freaks out and tries to escape, but Travelli catches him by the back of the tights and hauls him back into the ring, Joey tries a desperation clothesline. Easily ducked by Travelli, and like that he hooks on his Sleepa Widda Fishes! Joey is fading, fading, he's OUT! Don Travelli drops the now sleepin' Joey with disdain and celebrates his win.

APOCALYPSE vs BIG MITCH

Big Mitch is out first with Big Joe at ringside. Nothing flashy, kind of like old school Hogan. Next out is Apocalypse. He's wheeled down to ringside on a cart, bound by a straightjacket. His manager, Blake Larkinson, needs to untie him, just so he can wrestle! Apocalypse gets into the ring, and there's the bell! Big Mitch on the immediate offensive, he bounces off the ropes and goes for a flying lariat, but Apocalypse may as well be a brick wall. He doesn't so much as budge, and glares at Mitch. Big Mitch shrugs and goes up the turnbuckle, and Apocalypse patiently lets him. Mitch off the top rope with a cross-body! Apocalypse CATCHES him mid-air! Swings around, DEVASTATING sit-out powerbomb! Apocalypse hoists Big Mitch up into a fireman's carry, stalks towards the corner, DEATHDAY right out of the ring and onto Big Joe! Blake Larkinson picks up Big Mitch, slides him back into the ring...GOOD LORD! JUDGEMENT DAY! The cover! One! Two! Three!

-Apocalypse just starts stomping away at Mitch while the bell rings frantically. This match is over damn it! It takes three security guys and Blake Larkinson to pull off Apocalypse and get him back into the straightjacket!

TV TITLE QUARTER-FINAL: TECHNIQUE vs THE CRUSHER

Crusher and Technique size each other up. This is the first time they've been in the ring facing off against each other, and they're not sure what to expect. Crusher locks up with the smaller man, and they get a feel for each other. Crusher locks the arm of Technique, and starts torquing. Technique winces, and tries to escape the submission hold. It takes him a bit of time, but he elbows The Crusher in the face to make the big man let go. Technique maneuvers behind The Crusher and gives the big man a jumping neckbreaker! While The Crusher writhes on the canvas, Technique climbs on the second rope and leaps off with a flying axe handle onto the leg of The Crusher! Technique with the grapevine on the leg, and applies pressure. He's figured out that The Crusher isn't one to fall to a chokeslam, not with the good three-quarters foot height advantage, so he's working the leg, trying to keep the big man on the ground. The Crusher punches Technique to break the hold. Crusher whips Technique with FORCE into the corner! Technique's GOTTA be feeling that one! Crusher runs at the small man with all the power we can muster with his leg, Clothesline! And a DDT to lay Technique on the mat! Crusher starts yelling, "I'm not giving you the chance to kill! Once more's the charm! Technique signals for the Sharpshooter, but he can't get the big man turned over! So he just turns it into a Figure Four Leglock! Crusher is in pain! But he drags himself over to the ropes, where Senior Referee Dick Kiebiech breaks the hold. Crusher pulls himself up using the ropes as leverage. Technique locks up with Crusher, trying to pull him into the middle of the ring. Crusher pulls off one bad DDT! Technique's on the ground, woozy. Crusher drops the axe handle repeatedly on the chest of Technique. The smaller man then pulls the leg of Crusher, knocking him off balance. And he tries for the Sharpshooter once more! But Crusher kicks Technique into the turnbuckle. Technique's groggy, but goes back for The Crusher AND GETS SPEARED! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, TECHNIQUE MAY BE BROKEN IN HALF! Technique drops to the canvas, and Crusher has the sense to drop on top of him for the one, two, three! The Crusher wins!

-Both men are worn out from that grueling match. Technique shakes Crusher's hand and rolls out of the ring, leaving his friend to celebrate his victory. Linkin Park is the soundtrack to Crusher's advancement to the TV Title match, and he's enjoying his moment. A moment that is interrupted by the entrance music of one REX CALIBER: NEXUS ONE. Rex Caliber and "The Mayor" Bill Fleming storm out, Caliber applauding and grinning. "Hey, Crusher, good match, I'll give it to you. I guess it'll be you and I in the TV Title match than. But what you don't know is that The Mayor here convinced the NAPW brass to reschedule the Television Title Match from next week's show!" Crusher yells "what are you talking about?", The Mayor looks indecently proud of himself, and Caliber grins all the more as he gets in the ring.
