THE CRUSHER vs MR. SLICK

The bell rings, and the two men face off. The Crusher with the advantage -he whips Mr. Slick to the ropes, with a clothesline in mind! But Mr. Slick ducks, and hits the other rope in time for a spinebuster on the Crusher. Slick capitalizes and drops some elbows to the chest of the Crusher... Joey Malone walks down to ringside, applauding his friend Mr. Slick. Slick looks disgusted, and tries to shoo Joey away. Slick picks up the Crusher - Crusher with a knee to the gut of Slick! Suplex! Mr. Slick is down! Crusher wants to finish this and runs to the corner in preparation of some spearing! But Joey's caught the leg! Crusher whirls around to tell Joey off, and Mr. Slick is there! HARD DDT! Crusher's down, and Mr. Slick makes the pin! One! Two! TH- NO! Hard power out by Crusher. Crusher gets up, kicks Joey Malone on the outside of the ring, and whips Slick to the turnbuckle! SPEAR! Mr. Slick almost got knocked out of his boots! Crusher covers his man for the one, two, three! Crusher wins!

The celebration gets cut off however, as Television Champion UZI's music hits. The Kosher Assassin comes to ringside with an angry expression on his face. Uzi gets in the ring and immediately attacks Crusher! Chicken-wing suplex sends Crusher flying out of the ring, landing on his head! The crowd boos, but Uzi doesn't give a damn. He picks up the dazed Mr. Slick, hoists him on his shoulders... and delivers the Red Sea Driver with authority. Joey Malone rushes in to save his friend, but Uzi just hammers him down and locks in the Number of the Beast. Twenty seconds later Joey Malone is out cold. Uzi looks over the carnage he has caused. Three bodies on the mat... and the TV Champion standing tall.

PURE HONOR: NORTH T. GUNDERSON vs DEZ CARTER (w/Asuka Katsuragi)

When Dez Carter hits the ring, North T. Gunderson springs forward, and extends his hand towards the youngster. Carter looks at the hand, then gives a relieved smile, and accepts it--he doesn't seem to be familiar with Gunderson's old past as Thunder--and Gunderson . . . shakes his hand. SMILING. Like Fred MacMurray. It's all pretty awkward, actually, until somebody RINGS THE BELL. Both men surge forwards, collar-and-elbow tie-up, Gunderson executes a standing switch and gets begind Carter for a wasit lock--no, now it's CARTER who slips behind his opponent. Carter's got Gunderson's leg hooked, looking for a Blue Thunder--NO, Gunderson drops to the wheelbarrow position, too soon for what Carter was thinking of anyways, and then springs up from his hands, STUNNER, NO! Carter shoves him off on the drop and so he lands, solo, on his tailbone. One stiff kick to Gunderson's back shows us that Carter's head is in the game. The crowd applaus, and that prompts the younger wrestler to go back to the well--Gunderson throws his upperbody BACK onto the mat, a risky dodge as Carter's kick soars about an inch over his face. Carter's missed , and that piece of unexpected defense allows Gunderson to seize the shin, LEG DRAG sends Carter over and down. Gunderson rolls to his feet, Axe Handle Elbow Drop between Carter's shoulders. All SMILES, Gunderson scoots around to Carter's head, Arm Triangle Hold cinched in, wait a minute, now it's a Gator Roll--AN ANACONDA CHOKE! Powerful, powerful choke by Gunderson, thankfully, that Gator Roll brought Carter close enough to the ropes to get his foot up before Gunderson could close in. Carter uses his first rope break, but Gunderson hasn't loosened the hold--the ref's got to start the count--ONE! Gunderson lets go! He hurls himself off of Carter, terrified, and starts imemdiately apologizing to the ref--he really seems upset! He starts apologizing to a rising Carter, he didn't know what had happened, he must have not heard the ref right away. He then turns around and starts apologizing to the fans. Mixed reaction from the crowd, as their experience doesn't really inform them as to how to feel here.

Asuka Katusragi, on the other hand, knows exactly what to yell. "JUST HIT HIM, YOU DUMMY!" Driven to Action, Carter nonetheless gives his opponent a fighting chance and runs the ropes in front of him, coming off and impacting with a FLYING PALM STRIKE TO THE CHIN, taking him down like a marine sniper. Gunderson, stunned, just about makes it to his knees--Savate Kick from Carter turns him out. Pincover--ONE! TWO! SHOULDER UP! That's a near fall for Carter, and he grits his teeth, just narrowly getting the victory he craves. Gunderson, if you were wondering, is SMILING. Carter pulls his opponent up, the power advantage going to him in this match-up, and whips Gunderson into the ropes, snatching him as he comes off for a Tilt-a-Whirl SCREW THAT, HEADSCISSORS, Gunderson countering at the last possible second. Carter, dazed, is sent to the mat but is able to start picking himself up--SHINING WIZARD! Gunderson capitalizing quick with that devastating Japanese move, here's the cover! ONE! TWO! KICK-OUT! Gunderson backs off his opponent and gives an "I'm just gonna have to try harder!" smile. Here it comes--THE MILLION DOLLAR DREAM! Gunderson's going to cinch his legs around, while Carter, turning red, props himself up on his legs and twists himself on top of Gunderson, that's a pin, ONE! TWO! SHOULDER UP by Gunderson, who had to release the hold to do it, knowing that Carter wasn't likely to submit in the ensuing half-second. Carter uses his momentum to face-lock Gunderson and roll the two of them onto their knees, he's got himself standing, an quickly switches to a double-underhook. He hoists his opponent up, here it comes, TIGER DRIV--WHAT IS IT WITH THESE TWO? Gunderson's legs wiggle, he slips up and over Carter's shoulders, COUNTERED! The underhook broken, Gunderson spins his surprised opponent around, slaps on a facelock of his own AND RUNS FOR THE CORNER! UP THE CORNER! IT'S GOING TO BE A SHIRA--FULL NELSON BY CARTER--DRAGON SUPLEX!!! AND THE SHOULDERS ARE DOWN! ONE! TWO! THREE!!! DEZ CARTER PICKS UP THE WIN! A Dragon Suplex to counter Gunderson's new finisher--and the crowd's eating it up! Katsuragi doesn't bother to contain herself and hops in the ring to raise her client's hand, and Carter, DAMN, he looks HAPPY. But now Gunderson's up, and he homes in on Carter, CARTER DOESN'T SEE HIM COMING, GUNDERSON HITS HIM WITH A... hug. Smiling, Gunderson hugs the man who bested him and thanks him for ONE SUPER-DUPER MATCH. A little surprised, Carter smiles and shakes the man's hand. Gunderson compliments him again and leaves the ring, and after Katsuragi shrugs her shoulders, Carter starts hitting the turnbuckles as his music plays on.

STIFF COMPETITION vs HEAT & CHOPPER

Dutch Flanagan is too busy staring down at Psychotic Sara from his perfect view on the ring apron. Rod Hardway starts things up with the K.O. artist from the N.O. Heat uses his veteran savvy to slip behind big Rod Hardway and send him tumbling with a German Suplex. Heat is on his man and pounding away with stiff right hands to the dome until Henry Andrews counts to four. Heat lets off and jukes at Andrews, sending him cowering in fear. Heat grabs Hardway by the hair and pulls him to his corner. Tag to Chopper follows and they whip him into the ropes and Chopper unleashes with a decleater, followed by a Heatstroke submission. Could it be over this quickly? Dutch suddenly comes to life and nails Heat with a clubbing blow, breaking up the hold. Heat takes a swing at Dutch, who ducks to avoid it, and Heat catches a desperation boot to the face from Hardway, who follows that up with a Full Nelson slam. Rod tags in Dutch, who runs in with a head-o-steam and plants Heat with a swinging DDT. Cover by Flanagan, but only two as Heat powers out. Dutch hits the ropes and goes for the cross body press, but Heat catches him and executes a wicked fallaway slam ala JBL. Heat tags in "The Mouth of the Dirty South" Chopper, who lays into the South Carolina native with rights, lefts, elbows, knees, and kicks. He whips his man into the corner and catches him stumbling out with a belly-to-belly suplex. Chopper covers, but Dutch kicks out at two. Psychotic Sara and Rod start a clapping frenzy as Chopper sets up for the Lungblower. Dutch sticks his thumb into his attacker's eye and is free, climbing the ropes like a madman before unleashing with a standing moonsault that drops both men. Dutch pulls himself to his corner, but Heat has already tagged in and cuts him off with an elbow.

Heat sets his man up for the Heatwave, but Dutch slips out of the move and pins him with a schoolboy. Heat kicks out at two but Dutch has already scrambled to his corner and tags in the big man. Hardway lays Heat out with a lariat and does the same with a mafia kick to the platinum grill of Chopper. Heat takes a swing and is blocked, kick to the gut and... Jacknife Powerbomb. Rod Hardway doing his best Kevin Nash impression, apparently. Hardway covers, Chopper is back to break up the count. Dutch climbs to the top and unleashes with a missile dropkick that sends Chopper crashing to the outside. Inside, Heat switches a whip on Hardway and the 300 plus pounder crashes into Henry Andrews, knocking him down. Heat capitalizes with a Brainbuster DDT and makes the cover, but no ref to make the count. Heat jumps out of the ring and attacks Dutch from behind before he can get to Chopper. They double team him until Psychotic Sara does something very bold and tries to pull Heat away. Heat and Chopper laugh and formulate a plan while Sara backs away. Chopper unleashes with a vicious decleater, but Rod Hardway is already up and manages to pull Sara into the ring at the last possible moment, leaving Chopper to crash into the ring steps. Ouch! Heat slides into the ring only to get kicked in the gut by the 6'7" powerhouse. Dutch is back in and together they execute a Hart Attack (pop from the Edmonton crowd) followed by The Durty Way Bomb! Andrews is back into consciousness and makes the count as Hardway covers, ONE! TWO! THREE! Stiff Competition and Psychotic Sara raise their arms in victory as Heat and Chopper take another hard loss. The Charitable Trust losing streak continues...

KABUKIMONO vs DREAM COME TRUE

Kabukimono are in the ring hearing the boo birds. Then over the PA, "He's Going the Distance" begins to play. The fans start cheering for Dream Come True! Ainsley and Jared make their way to the ring, slapping hands with the fans. John Sharplin checks both teams for foreign objects, then calls for the bell. Jared Walsh and Guy N. Cognito start the match. Jared circles the ring waiting to strike. Guy calls for a test of strength and Jared reluctantly accepts. They lock knuckles but Jared quickly drops down and flips Guy over with his legs. Guy gets up quickly and is frustrated. He darts towards Jared, but is nailed with a spinning wheel kick. With Cognito down, Jared jumps on the ropes and attempts a lion-sault. Double knees up, and Jared is writhing in pain. He goes over and tags in Lake. The opposite corner sees Guy tag in Bakuto. Lake gives up nine inches of height, and nearly forty pounds. Bakuto gets cocky and goes over to her, points to his cheek. Bakuto is giving her a free shot. Before he can react he is on the mat getting pinned by a hurricanrana. One...Two... He barely kicks out. Ainsley bounces off the ropes and hits a double boot to the downed Bakuto. Bakuto quickly tags in Guy as Ainsley ascends to the top turn buckle.

Ainsley looks surprised to see Guy in the ring. She attempts a flying cross body block. Guy catches her and executes a fall away slam that sends her to the outside near her corner. John Sharplin begins his count. Guy turns to other side of the ring, and beats his chest. He is not seeing Jared roll Ainsley into the ring at their corner. They make the tag. Guy turns around and meets, then greets a Springboard Back Elbow. Guy is knocked to the outside. Jared sees his opportunity. Bakuto goes over to check on Guy... and Walsh! Killing two birds with one hellacious suicide dive! All three wrestlers are down. After taking in the awesome move, John Sharplin begins his count. One...Two... Ainsley Lake sees Guy getting up and isolating himself from Jared and Bakuto. She climbs to the post nearest Guy. 'HIGHER SIDE OF LOW" ON THE OUTSIDE. Guy is out! Lake looks hurt as well, she sacrificed her own body to take out Incognito! The crowd is chanting HOLY (BLEEP)! Jared is up - clotheslines Bakuto. Five... Six... Jared rolls Guy into the ring. He picks up Guy... Burning Saints! The cover! Bakuto enters the ring --- One! Two! Three! Bakuto smashes Jared a second late. Cue Ainsley Lake! She drop kicks Bakuto out of the ring. Your winners... DREAM COME TRUE. They celebrate their first NAPW win!

DEXTRO vs "THE LEMONDROP KID" LLOYD REES (w/Ol' Salty)

The crowd isn't really a fan of either man, so it will be interesting to see how they react. Lloyd Rees, proudly waving the Newfoundland flag, garners a rousing chorus of boos from the crowd. Dextro in the ring looks unimpressed. Or possibly he's just gazing into space. Who knows. Lloyd hits the corner with the NFLD flag - Dextro attacks before the bell! Ding ding ding, this match is on with Dextro taking an early advantage. He whales away on Lemondrop in the corner before firing the man off to the opposite turnbuckle. Rees puts on the brakes, stopping short of the turnbuckle. He taps his head, because he's smart --- Dex nails him with a Dropkick to the back! Rees schmucks forward into the turnbuckle bad, then stumbles out backwards holding his nose - Dex hooks the arms! He turns him around for the METH BUST, this match could be over right now! Rees fighting it out, tries a back suplex, Dextro flips out at the peak and lands on his feet, Lloyd swings with a clothesline, that's ducked by The Meth Orphan, they collide and it's a DEXPLEX that sends Lloyd Rees nearly skidding out of the ring! Dextro starts toward the man, but Ol' Salty grabs his man and pulls him to the outside for a conference.

Ol' Salty and Lloyd take a breather, but Dextro - starting to garner some applause - gets a head of steam and flies to the outside! The Newfies have it scouted, however, and move out of the way, which leaves Dextro to land hard on the concrete floor. And with that one mistake, the momentum shifts towards the former Provincial Champion Lloyd Rees, who picks Dextro up and gorilla presses the man over his head... INTO A SNOW PLOW ON THE OUTSIDE! The East End Drop hits, absolutely zero chance of Dextro getting out of that, and now he's in a bad way. Rees rolls Dextro back into the ring and makes the cover, one, two, Dextro kicks out. Rees picks him up - Dextro shows some life! Right hand to the breadbasket... Dextro hits the ropes! Rees drops low and drop toe holds his opponent face-first into the canvas. Rees grabs the legs, looking for the Lance Cove Leglock! He turns his man over, and Dextro needs to tap out or make the ropes. The Meth Orphan bites his fingers to prevent tapping, and then reaches out...he gets the ropes. Rees holds on for the referee's five count. "I've got a count of five, me son!" Ol' Salty chimes in from the outside as Rees stands Dextro up. He hooks a front face lock and suplexes Dextro down before stepping out to the ring apron. He leaps, and nails the Fresh Water Flip on Dextro! Cover gets... TWO. Dextro still kicked out, and Lloyd Rees can't believe it! He's arguing with Dick Kiebiech about the count - Dextro rolls him up, hooks the tights, ONE, TWO, TH---Rees gets out of that in the nick of time and puts Dextro down with a huge lariat.

Rees signals that it's over, and hauls Dextro up. He bends the man backwards with a handful of hair and talks trash, preparing to lock on the Conception Bay Chinlock... wait a minute! Dextro fighting out! One elbow! Two elbows! THREE elbows and Dextro is free, but Rees grabs him around the waist right away. Dextro's trick knee acts up and catches Rees between the legs unbeknownst to the referee. Fisherman's Suplex! That gets two and a half! Ress gets back up, lariat attempt, ducked by Dextro, he hits an overhead Belly to Belly Dexplex on Lloyd Rees! Rees charges again, this time taking a spinning side DexPlex! Snap DexPlex, and this time Rees lays prone. Dextro to the top rope... 450 SPLASH! He covers, the referee counts, and... TWO AND A HALF. Dextro half a second away from a huge win over the former two-time Provincial Champion! Dextro with a scoop slam to put Lloyd down one more time, and he again scales the turnbuckles. Shooting Star Press could be coming up this time - Ol' Salty grabs Dextro's ankle! Kiebiech shoos Salty away, but that was enough time for Rees to regain his bearings and climb to the top as well. Rees & Dextro slug it out on top, Rees getting an eye rake...he hooks the man! WABANA BUSTERRRRRR connects! What a super brainbuster by Lloyd Rees, who quickly covers for ONE, TWO, THREE. And this crowd is actually disappointed, they really got behind Dextro against this lowlife Newfie bozo. But still, Lloyd Rees is the winner of the match. He celebrates by waving that NFLD flag proud to a chorus of boos from the NAPW fans. And that is it for Action!
