RING OF PRESTIGECLASS OF 2006
Chris Casino CLASS of 2007
Evan Cartwright "The Nexus One" Rex Caliber
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 6'3", 245 lbs BIO: Rex Caliber was born into a rich family. His dream was always to be a pro wrestler. His family set him up with a house and a vehicle and at age 18 he was set free. He would no longer be dependent on his family's wealth again. In January 2004, Rex flew to Tokyo, Japan to be trained in a Japanese Dojo by the legendary Mr. Rodo Mitsawa. After a year of training and 5 months of wrestling as a jobber/opener Rex came back to the US to try and become a superstar. He wrestled for a large federation, GWA. After being a top attraction, he suffered several losses in title matches. After being pushed down the card, in favor of some returning GWA legends, Rex left the fed. It turned out to be a smart decision because in October of 2005, GWA folded. Rex went on a brief sabbatical from wrestling and decided to return in November 2005. Opting not to be held down under a contract to one fed, Rex Caliber travels the territories on the Indy Circuit, making a name for himself. On rare occasions (when his usual arsenal isn't quite enough to put an opponent away), Rex utilizes the Planetary Collision maneuver (Styles Clash). APPEARANCE: Bald, muscled, covered in tattoos. Big beard. Black boots and black leather pants with 'Nexus One' on one side in red, one elbow pad on the right arm and red tape on the wrists. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: NAPW Champion (2), Tag Team Champion, winner of the 1st ever Canada Cup Invitational, making suckers tap out NOTES: At first hated, then slowly accepted by the NAPW fans as one of their most popular wrestlers, Rex Caliber used to love working for as many feds as possible until he, too, fell in love with NAPW. His departure was part political--his career jeapordized by the controversial R. Joseph Winchell III--and part personal--as he chose to spend more time with his new-found son. Of course, then Rex returned as owner, lost his mind and became worse than the man who cost him his job, until finally Caliber was evicted from NAPW in August 2007. Yeesh.

Static
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'6", 175 lbs BIO: Little is known about this charasmatic enigma, besides that he was trained in Mexico by the late great Art Barr. He appears to be somewhat of a drifter, being chewed up in various areas and wrestling promotions all over North America before they spit him out. Likes to incorporate weapons into matches, especially the steel chair. APPEARANCE: The most striking feature about Static is the three-quarter mask he wears. It's solid black, with gray-and-blue decor on it in abstract shapes of lightning bolts, and his dark brown hair pokes out the bottom. The mask stops below his eyes, allowing his greasy hair to spill out the top and showcase a scarred forehead. On his way to the ring, he wears a hood of the same design. He's quite small, but built fairly well for his size. He has a few noticable scars and tattoos on his chest and arms, reminders of where he's been and where he's going. He's got a decent tan. He wears blue tape on his wrists, but otherwise wears nothing on his upper body. He wears wrestling pants/tights and boots, in the same color and design as his mask. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Tag Team Championship, NAPW Championship, Provincial Championship, Operation: Kill Mother(BLEEP)ers Dead. Also, using a screwdriver. On foreheads. VIOLENT.
NOTES: One of the original NAPW wrestlers, Static's career trajectory led him to become one of the few Triple Crown champion winners. His partnership with Rex Caliber as The Crimes (crimes crimes crimes crimes) brought about an unlikely face turn. Until Static's jealousy of partner Rex Caliber's success led to him gouging a screwdriver in his partner's face. Static was outed from NAPW after losing a thrilling Career ladder match against rising star Patrick Bickle. He returned as part of The New Crimes to help Rex Caliber rule over NAPW with an iron fist. Following Complete Control II, Static was once again out of NAPW.
Chris Casino
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'11", 220 lbs BIO: Born and raised in to a wealthy family in Las Vegas, Chris Casino never wanted for anything. His father started at the bottom of the Vegas food chain and quickly worked himself up to be a board member of a major Casino Resort. Casino's mother was a former Vegas showgirl who later went on to be a professional choreographer. At seventeen, Casino's world changed forever when his father was arrested and later sent to Club Fed on numerous Racketeering charges. Rumor has it, that before his arrest Casino's father signed over everything to his son thus making sure the Government couldn't seize it. At eighteen the wrestling bug bit Casino and he began training under several top stars such as Longshot and Devastation. By Nineteen he had his first pro match in front of 150 fans and loved every minute of it. Since then Casino has toured the world in search of top flight competition for himself. Now makes his home in the NAPW promotion in Canada. APPEARANCE: Outside the ring, Casino always dresses to impress with his tailor made three piece suits. He has appeared on the covers of several men's fashion magazines. In the ring, he wears half-tights (a la AJ Styles) in blue and white, with the letter "C" on each side. He wears black elbow pads and has his left hand heavily taped up to his forearm. Casino has blue eyes and short blonde hair. He also has a tattoo of a Cross on his right inner forearm. MANAGED BY: Monique MANAGER APPEARANCE: 5'10, 135 pounds. Former runway model and one of few african american females to appear on the cover of a sports illustrated swimsuit magazine. Great with money, she once considered taking a job on Wall Street before she met and married Casino. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: NAPW Championship, Provincial Championship, Tag Team Championship (2), Pure Honor Championship, melting the Kiniski Cup down into a Pure Honor title belt, starting the 1st Annual Chris Casino Canada Cup tournament, losing in his own tournament, forming The Rat Pack, breaking up The Rat Pack, forming Rated-X, breaking up Rated-X, quitting in frustration, returning in glory, AWESOMES FEUD WITH RAVAGER, lots of haircuts, hiring managers, firing managers, divorcing wives, remarrying wives...
NOTES: He's Chris Casino, bitch! What more do you want?
The Plague
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 6'5", 261 lbs BIO: The Plague's history is largely in shadow. He has wrestled for the better part of the past 12 years around the world with varying degrees of success. Why he has come to Edmonton & NAPW, and what his goals are, remains a mystery. The first NAPW Champion, The Plague retired from professional wrestling after losing a Title vs Career match against D!. Despite the intensity of their feud, in the end D! won Plague's respect and the two men shook hands after the third and deciding match in their series. He's known for both his intense respect and passion for the business, trademark smirk, and closing lines of "There's no cure for The Plague" or the longer variant, "There's no antidote, vaccination or quarantine that can stop The Plague!" After spending nearly a year on the sidelines letting his body heal, The Plague returned at NAPW Anniversary Assault with revenge on his mind... APPEARANCE: The Plague is very strong, so he's a built guy. Kinda pale, scars on his forehead, always angry looking. Shaved head, fearsome looking chin beard and mustache. A traditionalist, Plague wears long black tights with "PLAGUE" written on the back in red and white. "BLACK" runs up one leg, "DEATH" down the other. Standard black boots, knee pads under the tights, elbow pads, wrist tape. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: The first NAPW Champion, feud with D! made D!'s career
NOTES: The grizzled veteran was the 1st NAPW Champion, and his feud with D! over that title helped NAPW establish itself in 2005. Plague would later return in an attempt to destroy Ravager. Though he seemed to have Ravager's number, he would be defeated in a First Blood match and disappear from NAPW shortly afterwards, while Ravager embarked on his Epic Title Reign.
Billy Kryenik
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 6'2", 241 lbs BIO: (excerpted from official Billy Kryenik biography) 1999 DWU opened and signed Kryenik and Deathrow. They still held the PWF Tag Team Titles and refused to drop them. The PWF Tag team Titles then were adopted by the DWU and became the DWU Unified Tag Team Titles. Billy snapped in this federation, and turned into an all out monster. He adopted the name "Sick" to his name and came out with some of the most controversial roleplays/interviews ever seen on the e-wrestling scene. He was a man locked in his own mind. He met Illusion (female) and had many out of match brawls, but fell in love in the process. It was a love-hate relationship but they eventually got married. It was arguable the most controversial union in the history of e-wrestling. One minute they'd be killing each other with forks, and drills, the next they were beating tag teams. Tommy Deathrow went solo. January 1st 2006 The Doomriders reunite in NAPW. April 24th 2006 Evan Cartwright hands Billy Kryenik one half of the tag team championship. In summer of 2006, Billy Kryenik suffers a severe injury at the hands of Bruce Richards. He briefly manages his former Violence International friends before quietly disappearing from NAPW rings. Months later, a combination of rest and determination sees Billy's neck fully healed. A newly focused Kryenik is inducted into NAPW's Ring Of Prestige, where he announces his RETURN to NAPW rings. Focused, intense and passionate, Kryenik is looking to forge a brand new path in singles competition. APPEARANCE: Billy has changed his look this time around. His scarred face is a little more revealed, but given time to shed a new lair of skin. The scars are not as revealing as before. His goatee has been shaven off and his hair was let to go back to its normal dusty blond. It's shorter and a little more styled then before. He is seen wearing slacks and stylish dress shirts outside of the ring. Perhaps aged a little in mind frame? In the ring he's a bit leaner then he used to be. 12 pounds have been shed, and he looks more defined (Like a CM Punk body) He still wears the black trunks with "Doomrider" written across the backside and "SBK" in the front. His boots are kickpads over black boots. Taped fists and tattoo'd as usual.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Tag Team Championship (2), 2006 Canada Cup winner
Patrick Bickle
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'11" 175 lbs
BIO: Patrick Bickle was raised in a nuclear family and was brought up with all of the values that come therein. He was never beaten to become a monster, he was never the champion athlete that is now extending his competitive edge, and he is not a colourful friend of the fans. There is no mystery to where Patrick has been, as everything can be found in his records, but somewhere along the lines he seemed to develop an indifference to those around him and his own personal health. His wrestling style is largely improvisation driven, often with the instinct to throw everything, including himself, forwards to win. APPEARANCE: Patrick wears generic black wrestling shorts, with generic wrestling boots to go along with it. He has hair that just about reaches his shoulders and a moderately kept beard, but it appears he doesn't concentrate too much on self-image.
TITLES HELD: NAPW Championship (2), Pure Honor Championship
"Perfection" Evan Cartwright
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 6'0", 222¼ lbs BIO: Born in the dying town of Cairo, Illinois, Evan Cartwright grew up with a knowing sense of his own mortality and limitations as the shadow of his hometown cast upon him a sense of hopelessness and defeat. Upon graduating from high school, the local principal encouraged the entire graduating class to move out of Cairo, as there was nothing left for them there--a dead end rut of obscurity. Evan took this as his cue to move northwest to the mean streets of East St. Louis and there began his training as a wrestler at the School of Hard Knocks. After nearly two years of training and discipline, Evan was taken under the wing of Mexican Lucha Libre star Mascara de la Plata (Silver Mask) and competed throughout Mexico, Puerto Rico, Japan and Europe. With this valuable international experience, he returned to the states after two years and tore through the competition in every fed he was booked in--showcasing his high-flying prowess just enough to avoid being labeled "flashy," and utilizing his technical skill to ground and pound his opponents into submission. Evan joins NAPW after a short hiatus from the ring and seeks to overcome the stigma of his hometown and past by becoming a cornerstone of wrestling in this region of the world. Evan normally relies on his in-ring skills and phenomenal ring psychology to achieve victory, but he will cheat and deceive when he sees an opportunity for the ends justifying the means. Evan is a man capable of good and noble deeds who simply chooses to embrace his sinister side and cares little if he causes pain and misery in others--very much like a ronin samurai. APPEARANCE: Well built black man with close cropped hair. Short-style trunks a la Shelton Benjamin, kickpad boots, elbow pads and wrist tape.
TITLES HELD: NAPW Championship, Provincial Championship (3), Tag Team Championship
Donovan Astros
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 6'3, 227 lbs
BIO: Since 1997, Donovan Astros has been working off and on as a professional wrestler as well as a film stunt coordinator. Astros began his career in Pacific Coast Championship Wrestling (later Pro-Continental Championship Wrestling) as Devon Steele, one half of the Steele Machine with Derrick Steele, who helped train him and still operates a wrestling school in Reno. The Steele Machine's high flying style and brash attitudes caught the attention of promoters all over the West Coast, but the aerial attack also cost the team their big break when Derrick Steele tore his knee to shreds landing awkwardly on a dive from the top rope to the floor. Astros went back to his stuntwork, while helping train at the newly opened Steele Dojo, Derrick's wrestling school. 3 years later, Astros stepped back in the ring, this time in the World Street Wrestling Federation (later Western States Wrestling). Astros saw his greatest fame here, claiming the WSW World Heavyweight Championship before leaving the promotion a few months later due to political differences. Some of the business relationships formed in PCCW carried over to WSW, as Astros teamed with former PCCW World Champion Sean Southward to wreak havoc on the company until it's closing in 2001. A revival in 2003 with Astros as promoter and head trainer was shortlived, and Astros returned to Los Angeles. But the bug always bites, and Donovan Astros isn't ready to give it up. The former World Heavyweight Champion wants one more shot to prove to as many people as he can that he can be the cornerstone, the foundation, the best wrestler on God's green Earth. Don't believe him? Just ask him. APPEARANCE: Astros wears full length black tights with a stylized Walk of Fame Star in a second color on one outer leg and ASTROS down the outside of the other leg. The color can vary from match to match, but it's usually blue, red, or gold. Astros has a single elbowpad on his left arm, simple black with no design, and kneepads under the gear. He has shoulder length black hair with a prominent scar across his forehead, caused by a flawed chairshot a few years back. Black boots with the Walk of Fame Star insignia in the same color as the gear complete the outfit. Astros is developed, but not overly muscular. His strongest part is his legs, where he draws the power to suplex larger opponents and apply pressure in holds like his Astrolock and the Bow and Arrow.
TITLES HELD: NAPW World Championship (2), Tag Team Championship
OTHER NOTABLE WRESTLERS
THE DUDES (Cameron Scott & Michael K. Johnston)
NOTES: When they weren't playing video games or slacking, The Dudes were having fun at the expense of their rivals The New & Improved D-X. They were exasperating to manager Tiffany Macintyre, irritating to their opponents, and almost shockingly NAPW Tag Team Champions.
NOTES: No delivery too small, no delivery too large! Delivery Man #1 and #2 will see it through!
NOTES: The "T" stands for "Thunder." North started in NAPW teamed with Tempest in the team Storm, becoming the fan-favorite North Gunderson later in his career. He randomly appears at NAPW events wearing no pants to this day.
NOTES: Carter Owens couldn't buy a win in NAPW. After weeks of being called "chicken" by "The Moose" Mark Millar, Carter emerged from hiding to shut The Moose up, only to lose and be humilated with a crate of chickens. Something inside Owens snapped and he re-emerged as THE YELLOW CHICKEN - and embarked on a record-breaking undefeated streak scooping up both the TV and Provincial titles! Ba-KAW!
NOTES: "Outlaw" Patrick Kidd's first-ever singles title win in professional wrestling came right here in NAPW when he dethroned The Yellow Chicken as Provincial Champion. NAPW is very proud to have been the promotion where this occured for such a veteran of the ring wars.
NOTES: Jeff James, younger brother and flunky of The Foundation's Thomas Young, changed when he wrestled The Yellow Chicken. That defeat sent him on a path of intense training and developed his sense of honor. James finally won the TV title from Chicken, clean, and proceeded to defend it more successfully than ANY title in NAPW. A series of injures derailed his momentum later in 2007, but for a while Jeff James was the hottest thing going in NAPW.
NOTES: FULL OF HATE. CHARISMATIC COLOSSUS. BEYOND BELIEF. Basically, he's your frinkin' hero!
NOTES: The Decapitators were one of NAPW's most popular and enduring teams, until a family tragedy shook things up forever. Axe, the older brother, jealous of his little brother Diamond's success and easier life, decided to dish out some "tough love." After weeks of insults and assaults, Axe & Diamond met at SOLE SURVIVOR. Axe cheated to win the match and then left Diamond a bloody mess. The story did not end there, however: In the Sole Survivor match itself, Diamond came in and eliminated Axe, then put him through the timekeepers table with DiamondSault! Axe returned to NAPW one last time, challenging Patrick Bickle for the Pure Honor title. He came up short, but the reunited Decapitators were given a rousing ovation from an appreciative crowd.
NOTES: Lobo was an NAPW mainstay from day one, engaging in a classic three-way feud with Ravager & Static over the Provincial Title for months. Afterwards, Lobo reconnected with his father Terry Brandon. Brandon's split loyalties between Lobo and Chris Casino eventually led to Lobo & Casino competing for Brandon's contract... a match which Lobo won. Lobo tasted NAPW gold around the same time, winning the Television Championship from reigning champ Don Travelli.
